About the Mission

Our Beliefs

Woke Like Jesus exists for people who feel spiritually displaced. People who are exhausted by today’s political climate.

People who watch the Supreme Court, Congress, presidents, and even the Church, and wonder how any of it lines up with the Jesus they once knew — or hoped was real. It’s for those who feel politically homeless and spiritually bruised. For people who still feel drawn to Jesus, but are deeply uncomfortable with what Christianity has come to represent in public life.

For those who have watched the word Christian become shorthand for intolerance, cruelty, or blind allegiance to power — and quietly feel ashamed of it.

If you’ve ever thought, “If following Jesus means this, I’m not sure I belong anymore,” this space was made with you in mind.

The Jesus We’re Returning To

Woke Like Jesus is rooted in a simple conviction: the life and teachings of Jesus stand in tension with systems built on domination, exclusion, and fear.

Jesus lifted the people society ignored. He challenged religious leaders who protected power instead of people. He spoke hard truths, not to score points, but to heal what was broken.

That Jesus still matters — especially now!

To say “woke like Jesus” is not to claim moral superiority. It’s to say that paying attention to suffering, injustice, and hypocrisy is not a modern invention — it’s a gospel one.

What This Is (and What It Isn’t)

Woke Like Jesus is not a church.
It’s not a political party. It’s not here to tell you how to vote or what to believe.

It is a voice — shaped by faith, curiosity, and lived experience — offering commentary at the intersection of religion, politics, and public life.

And it is an invitation.

An invitation to think honestly.
To ask better questions.
To reconnect with others who refuse to choose between their conscience and their faith.

Where This Is Going

The heart of this project is connection.

Through commentary, conversation, and a growing network of like-minded people, Woke Like Jesus aims to help individuals find each other — not so they can argue louder, but so they can do meaningful work together.

You don’t have to have all the answers.
You don’t have to fit a label.
You just have to believe that faith still has something to say about the world we’re living in.

If that sounds like you, you’re not alone anymore.
